To coordinate the execution of engineering and construction activities within the project team and facilitate communication between the company and contractor during the detailed engineering procurement construction and commissioning phases.
Facilitate the engineering and construction elements of the project to ensure that the Companys technical performance and integrity requirements are met.
Ensure readiness for construction in consultation with the construction team.
Ensure the delivery of all Compression Facilities electrical engineering and construction requirements.
Coordinate the delivery of Compression Facilities to sanctioned cost schedule and performance criteria.
Contribute to the project strategy project execution plan contract strategy and management systems for project delivery and ensure they get ownership from within the asset partners and the project team.
Ensure readiness for commissioning and handover is planned with consultation with the construction completions and operations functions.
Assist with the preparation and/or review of key approvals e.g. contracting strategies contract packages project change requests MOC contract awards and contract variations.
Assist with input into project and financial control systems to monitor project progress against target.
Contribute to the identification of risks and eliminate risks or implement mitigation measures. Input into risks gaps and opportunity registers.
Provide input into the Weekly and Monthly Progress Reports and Schedule updates.
Review of documentation produced internally and by contractors.
Ensure the project undertakes adequate quality assurance for internal deliverables e.g. through VAF and functional reviews and for work by contractors
Ensure project lessons learned are fed back to Asset stakeholders for the benefit of future projects
Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Technical professional with proven experience in Electrical Engineering and/or Electrical Construction discipline.
Technical professional with proven experience in engineering and construction disciplines and delivery of projects
Has verifiable performance and delivery working as a team member through two or more responsible project assignments
Interacted with range of stakeholders
Varied experience of EPC or EPCM contracts
Experience of project control systems and procedures supported by current software applications e.g. Excel MS Project @Risk Primavera P6
Has awareness of functional project and technical assurance processes
Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Educated in electrical engineering discipline
Able to apply appropriate technical standards to deliver technical and execution requirements
An understanding of discipline interfaces construction activities and the project development and delivery process needed to enable quality control of contractor technical work and ensure appropriate techniques and standards are applied and improvement opportunities are realised
Able to apply HSSE principles across all project technical activities
Understands the impact of strategic considerations on business decisions and has contributed to negotiations with contractors
Has an understanding of the impact of strategic considerations on business decisions and project execution
Good team player with a pro-active and flexible attitude
Good communicator able to challenge others in a constructive manner and negotiate successfully to achieve positive outcome
