1. How do I derive a formula for muzzle velocity using kinematics. We also had to derive one with conservation of momentum, but I already got that one. This is a problem shooting a projectile from some height h to a distance of x and height of 0.
The knowns are distance in x and distance in y (h).

2. Relevant equations
KE = 1/2 mv$^{2}$
PE = mgh
v=$\sqrt{2gh}$

*Not sure if these apply to the kinematic derivation.

3. The attempt at a solution

0x xhat+h yhat=x xhat+0 yhat

This doesn’t look right…
